We have published the list of Phase 2 successful projects.
The Smart Meter System based Internet of Things Applications Programme aims to support innovation to determine the feasibility of, and trial, Smart Meter System based IoT sensor devices.
The programme consists of 2 phases:
- Phase 1: feasibility, identifying applications and establishing the feasibility of solutions comprising IoT sensors and supporting data management tools suitable for operation within the Smart Meter System and DCC network
- Phase 2: develop and trial, further develop the proposed technical solutions and build and deploy demonstration system and devices
This programme is part of the overarching Flexibility Innovation Programme which seeks to enable large-scale widespread electricity system flexibility through smart, flexible, secure, and accessible technologies and markets. The Flexibility Innovation Programme funds innovation across a range of key smart energy applications, and sits within the Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (NZIP).
