Draft South Plans Analytical Report

Details

The final SPAR 2014 was published on 19 June 2014 following consultation on the draft version in late 2013.

The SPAR summarises the evidence and issues for the South Inshore and South Offshore marine plan areas. This includes identifying relevant issues and will inform the next steps in the planning process, such as generating a vision, objectives and then options. The report has been revised following feedback and workshops during the consultation.

The finalised report includes:

  • the evidence we are taking account of in marine planning
  • analysis of the evidence to inform the issues
  • a list of issues to be included in the marine planning process for the South marine plans and
  • a summarised set of core issues that could be addressed through marine plans

The information in the draft report has been drawn together to set out the evidence and identify the issues relevant to these marine plan areas and to inform the next steps in the planning process, such as generating a vision, objectives and then options.

This document has been informed by policy analysis, data and stakeholder input, and a consultation, to ensure the Marine Management Organisation has the best available evidence and understanding of the issues from the South marine plan areas.

More information on workshops held in Brighton, Portsmouth, the Isle of Wight, Portland and Torquay in October 2013 is available on The National Archives.
