Details

The Specialised Committee on Fisheries (SCF) was established by the Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA). It provides a forum for discussion and cooperation between the UK and the EU relating to sustainable fisheries management.

The parties may hold expert workshops under the SCF that include scientists and officials from the UK and the EU. These workshops can:

  • focus on a specific topic or stock of interest

  • enable the examination of current data

  • help to plan research for the management of shared fishing stocks

These expert workshops are separate from the SCF plenary meetings.
