Details

The Social Security Advisory Committee (SSAC) looked at the way some aspects of social security are now administered at a local level – for example, Council Tax Benefit has been abolished in favour of support schemes administered locally. The review considers the effects of the changes, draws conclusions and makes recommendations.

SSAC ran a consultation on localisation of social security from 18 November to 12 December 2014.
