SSRO interim compliance statement July 2016

The SSRO has published an Interim Compliance Statement, in advance of its annual Compliance Report in January 2017.

Details

The statement provides an update on compliance with the Defence Reform Act and the Single Source Contract Regulations since the first annual Compliance Report was published in January 2016. It also considers whether the pricing controls of the regime are being correctly applied.

The statement covers the period 1 April 2015 and 31 March 2016, during which the SSRO received 34 qualifying contracts.

The assessment is based on the methodology published by the SSRO in October 2015. As it is an interim statement, it does not include Red-Amber-Green (RAG) ratings for individual contractors. Instead it communicates key messages, and sets out RAG ratings for overall compliance with the regime by both defence suppliers and the Ministry of Defence (MOD), particularly Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), as well as performance against individual indicators.

The SSRO continues to support the MOD and individual contractors to enable them to understand what they need to do to comply with the Act and Regulations. Contractors can contact the SSRO helpdesk at [email protected] if they have any queries about what action they need to take.
