Details

In 2006 the commission conducted a survey of all registered charities in order to obtain basic information about their involvement in public service delivery.

This report shows that a significant number of charities are already involved in service delivery, and there has been an increase in other charities being asked to deliver public services.

The increase in delivering public services raises issues for charities about their future direction, including:

  • independence and governance
  • funding
  • sustainability
