Details
The standard civil contract 2010 consists of the:
- standard terms
- specification
- schedule
You can find revised contract documentation and supporting information here.
Standard terms
The standard terms govern the commercial relationship between the Legal Aid Agency (LAA) and the provider.
Specification
The specification sets out the rules governing the provision of civil controlled and licensed work.
It’s divided into provisions of general application (sections 1 to 6) and category specific rules.
Family mediation specification
A separate specification covers family mediation, although this still forms part of the standard civil contract 2010.
Schedule
The schedule is an important contract document that sets out provisions specific to an individual provider, including matter start allocations for controlled work. Use the sample schedule for illustration as schedules vary for each provider.
Contract for signature
The contract for signature is the document which gives effect to the 2010 standard civil contract as a whole. Use the sample contract for signature for illustration as contents vary between providers.
