Details

The Committee on Mutagenicity of Chemicals in Food, Consumer Products and the Environment (COM) prepared this statement in response to a request from the Health and Safety Executive’s Chemicals Regulation Directorate. It sets out the committee’s views on:

  • the molar absorption coefficient which should trigger photogenotoxicity assessment
  • the photogenotoxicity testing strategy that should be adopted in the absence of any OECD/EU photogenotoxicity test
