This guidance provides information on making decisions under streamlined asylum processing. This includes deciding asylum claims without a substantive asylum interview where appropriate.

  1. Updated guidance to clarify the claimants who may be eligible for consideration via the streamlined asylum process - those eligible will be based on date of claim, rather than arrival date, due to management information on casework systems.

  2. Updated to clarify which claimants may be eligible for consideration via Streamlined Asylum Processing and to clarify the withdrawal process for individuals who fail to return an asylum questionnaire.

  3. This updated guidance reflects changes in streamlined asylum processing to include claims on or after 28 June 2022 and the inclusion of claims from Sudan post 28 June 2022. The guidance also explains the process of withdrawing asylum claims where a claimant fails to return an asylum questionnaire.
