Details

The local authority insight survey gathers feedback from local authority benefit managers on topics of interest to the Department for Work and Pensions.

Wave 35 of the survey looked at:

  • long-term supported accommodation
  • the processes and roles of local authority teams in managing cost-control specific to long-term supported accommodation and specialised supported accommodation

The survey findings confirm and expand upon findings of previous government and third sector reviews into the provision of long-term supported accommodation and specialised supported accommodation.

The survey follows a consultation on short-term supported accommodation and sheltered accommodation.

Authors: Dr Jonah Bury and Dr Ceri Davies (NatCen).
