Details

Under the Crown Estate Act 1961 (schedule 1 paragraph 5) monies are provided by Parliament (Supply Finance) towards the cost of the Commissioners’ salaries and the expense of their office.

The Crown Estate Office accounts only include the contribution made to these costs. The £2.3 million has remained steady for several years now (by agreement with the Treasury). The Crown Estate main accounts contain full details of the salaries of the Commissioners and costs.
