Details

The Secretary of State for Health (Mr Andrew Lansley) has informed the House that Her Majesty the Queen has graciously approved a proposal for the issue of a Queen’s Ambulance Service Medal (QAM) to recognise distinguished service by the ambulance service.

The Command Paper [Cm 8140] was laid before Parliament on 11 July 2011 instituting the QAM. A copy of the Command Paper is available with further information on the criteria for eligibility, along with details on how to nominate individuals for the Medal.
