Details

The revocations in this Statutory Instrument (SI) include:

  • legislation prescribing the format of rail accident investigation reports, which is overly bureaucratic and removes flexibility from the Rail Accidents Investigation Branch to tailor investigations to a particular circumstance

  • provisions relating to EU rail technical standards which are no longer relevant following EU exit

  • duplication and overly prescriptive requirements that apply to the access arrangements which govern operator access to the track and rail facilities.

  • Laid on: 20 November 2023
  • Sifting status: Complete
  • Sifting decision: Lay as Negative SI
  • Subject: Transport
