Details

The Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013 provided the Secretary of State with the power to require that all letting and property management agents in England are a member of a government approved redress scheme.

This document is an introductory note that explains how the schemes can apply to be an approved scheme. The accompanying annex to the introductory notes provides the detailed conditions that must be satisfied before the Secretary of State approves a redress scheme.
