Details

Every two years the UK is required to submit the biennial report to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The report provides details on the UK’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gases and our support for developing countries to tackle climate change.

The biennial report sets out information on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and trends, our progress towards quantified economy wide emissions reductions targets and progress, the policies and measures in place to meet mitigation targets and details regarding the financial assistance that the UK provides to other countries and support for technologies.

The biennial report was submitted to the European Union and the UNFCCC in December 2015.
