This report analyses how participation in the Work Programme affected employment and benefit outcomes, and gives a cost-benefit analysis based on these findings.

The Work Programme ran between 2011 and 2017 in England, Scotland and Wales and offered support to a wide variety of people out of work. This report focuses on individuals aged 25 years and older who had been getting Jobseeker’s Allowance or Universal Credit for 12 months and required to search for work.
