Details

Exposed riverine sediments (ERS) are highly vulnerable to the impact of human activities such as physical or hydrological modification. This study has investigated the controls on the distribution of ERS habitat, their invertebrate fauna and the impact of river management. The study provides information that should be considered when planning changes in existing management and restoration strategies, particularly for sandy or gravelly rivers.
