Details

Official Veterinarians (OVs), Approved Tuberculin Testers (ATTs) and Certification Support Officers (CSOs) can apply for an extension or exception to OCQ training requirements if:

  • the revalidation deadline falls during a period of parental leave and the candidate does not wish to revalidate during this time
  • there are exceptional other circumstances, such as those encountered during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • you are an assessor or auditor who is no longer carrying out tuberculin testing for the OVQ veterinary (V) - tuberculin tester (TT)

For the OCQ(V) - TT or OCQ Animal Health Paraprofessional (AHP) - ATT qualifications you can also apply for:

  • an extension or exception to the requirement to test a minimum number of animals if you could not meet the minimum requirements due to low testing volumes or illness
  • an extension to the period of conditional authorisation if you could not meet minimum testing requirements due to illness, bereavement, pregnancy or parental leave

Extensions or exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis. If you do not apply for an extension or exception before the deadline for the OCQ(V)s, OCQ(AHP)s or OCQ(CO)s, this will result in suspension or expiry of authorisation.
