This guidance provides Parole Board panels with information about trauma-informed practice and sets out advice on the benefits of conducting parole hearings in trauma-informed and responsive ways. The guidance provides practical advice to panels about how this can be achieved when conducting parole hearings. The advice will be applicable to all prisoners in custody to varying degrees, dependent on trauma history.
