Documents
Details
If you’re a fishing producer organisation or sectoral group in the UK, you can propose a fishing quota exchange with your counterparts in an EU country. You cannot fish against this arrangement until the UK and the EU have agreed it.
To propose an exchange, you need to complete the UK to EU quota transfer form. Send the form to your Fisheries Administration (FA) based on your location in the UK:
- England: [email protected]
- Wales: [email protected]
- Scotland: [email protected]
- Northern Ireland: [email protected]
When a proposed exchange involves groups from multiple parts of the UK, send the form to all of the relevant FAs.
Defra will consider the proposals in consultation with the FAs and agree the transfers with the EU. Your FA will let you know if the exchange is agreed and will update fishing allocations accordingly.
