In March 2020, the government published the world’s first government modern slavery statement, which set out the steps the UK government had taken to prevent modern slavery in central government supply chains.

The statement set out 13 ambitious goals for the UK government to achieve. This report outlines the progress the government has made against these goals and how it tailored its response to modern slavery under the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
