Decision no 2/2021 of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Japan Working Group on Wine on the adoption of the modalities for the cooperation between the contact points designated by the UK and Japan.

The Working Group on Wine,

Having regard to the Agreement between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Japan for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership (‘the Agreement’), and in particular Articles 2.27 and 2.34 thereof,

Whereas:

1․ The Agreement enters into force on 1 January 2021.

2․ Article 23.4 of the Agreement establishes a Working Group on Wine, which, inter alia, is responsible for the effective implementation and operation of Section C of Chapter 2 and Annex 2-E of the Agreement.

3․ Pursuant to subparagraph 2(b) of Article 2.27 of the Agreement, the modalities for the cooperation between the contact points designated by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and by Japan are to be adopted by decision of the Working Group on Wine established pursuant to Article 23.4 of the Agreement.

Has decided as follows:

1․ The contact points designated by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is as follows:

2․ The contact point designated by Japan is as follows:

3․ Communication between contact points are generally to take place in English.
