Details

The publication is out of date and has been replaced by the Waste Management Plan for England 2021.

The waste management plan for England (WMPE) provides an analysis of the current waste management situation in England and fulfils the mandatory requirements of article 28 of the revised Waste Framework Directive (rWFD).

The plan does not introduce new policies or change the landscape of how waste is managed in England. Its core aim is to bring current waste management policies under the umbrella of one national plan.

Following consultation, we have now published:

The Department for Communities and Local Government’s waste planning policy is also an integral part of meeting the requirements of article 28 of the rWFD.
