Details

The review looked at the (DI) evidence base’s:

  • impact
  • evidence
  • usability

The conclusion for:

  • evidence was that the guidance still reflects the state of the technical and academic literature, although with recommendations for updating the guidance
  • usability was that the guidance works reasonably well with users, with suggestions for improvement
  • impact was that the department takes steps to reinforce the importance through external engagement, and increased visibility with decision makers

The report included research with guidance users and an updated evidence base.
