The Tailored Review of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) took place at the end of 2018, as part of the government’s public bodies reform programme. This requires all eligible bodies to undergo a review of their functions, form, performance and governance at least once per Parliament. This Review makes 17 recommendations having consulted the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, Foreign & Commonwealth Office officials and over 40 stakeholders. The review team also conducted 2 field visits.

Westminster Foundation for Democracy was established as an Executive Non Departmental public body (NDBP), sponsored by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to support its strategic aims.
