Details

The Department has commissioned Frontier Economics to develop a theoretical framework of how to think about the whole power system impacts of electricity generation technologies. The resulting methodology report defines and categorises whole power system impacts and their drivers. Impacts are broken down into technology own costs and wider power system impacts. The report also assesses who is currently bearing these impacts.

Alongside the report, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) also publishes three peer reviews by experts in the field and an explanatory Addendum. These documents support the robustness of the report’s findings.
