Details

On 18 May 2011, the Business and Employment ministers met with the Insolvency Service, Jobcentre Plus and the insolvency trade body R3 to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the House of Commons. The MoU renews the partnership to support workers of companies facing closure.

The agreement confirmed a continued commitment from each organisation to ensure that when redundancies are made as a result of an employer’s insolvency, the agencies will work in partnership to provide the best service and advice possible to the ex-workers facing redundancy.
