Main findings

The report shows that from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023:

  • approximately 314,900 men were offered screening, with 80.8% that were tested

  • 1,942 aneurysms (aorta measuring ≥3.0cm) were found

  • approximately 15,100 men were on surveillance during the year and approximately 23,000 surveillance scans were undertaken

  • 800 men with large aneurysms (≥5.5cm) or rapidly growing aneurysms (≥4.0cm that has grown 1cm or more in 1 year) were appropriately referred for surgery, that were suitable for intervention and did not decline
