The latest release of these statistics can be found in the Benefit statistics collection.

This Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) publication shows the number of households that had their Housing Benefit capped from 15 April 2013 to May 2018.

The report and tables include data on:

  • cumulative number of households capped
  • point-in-time number of households capped at each month since the cap was introduced
  • number of households that were previously capped but have moved off the cap

This release also contains experimental statistics on the number of households that have had their Universal Credit capped.
