Details

Statistics on the number and pass rates of driving and riding practical tests conducted (including statistics on driving instructors) in Great Britain.

During October to December 2016, there were:

  • over a million practical and theory driving tests were conducted, an increase of 8.5%
  • 19.7% more practical car tests than in October to December 2015. This was in part due to industrial action, which lowered the number of tests taken in 2015
  • increases in Large Goods Vehicle practical tests, with vocational tests increasing by 10.4% and CPC tests by 6.9%
  • more than 10% year-on-year increases in practical tests for Passenger Carrying Vehicles
