Farming statistics: Crop areas in England (sourced from Basic Payment Scheme data and the June Survey of Agriculture) 2015-2018 REVISED

Experimental statistics presenting country level data from the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS). It includes comparisons to the equivalent crops from the June Survey of Agriculture for context and discussion. These figures were revised in May 2019 to reflect changes made to the underlying data for the June survey and to include the county level breakdowns.

Details

This release presents the crop areas that have been claimed and paid under the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) from 2015-2018 at country level. This data is classed as an administrative data source for further analyses. The official crop areas from the Defra June Survey of Agriculture have also been shown for 2015-2018 for comparison.

These figures were revised in May 2019 to reflect changes made to the underlying data for the June survey.
