Details
This document contains further education and skills statistics in England, including learner participation and achievements, covering the full, finalised 2018 to 2019 academic year.
This release includes summary statistics from three previously standalone publications: Further Education and Skills in England; Apprenticeships and Levy Statistics and Public Sector Apprenticeships in England. These statistics have been combined into one document, as a transitionary approach, while we move all our further education and apprenticeship releases to a new dissemination platform planned for January 2020. Please see the ‘Changes in the next release’ section in the main text for further details.
This comprises adult (aged 19 and over) government-funded further education (excluding schools and higher education) comprising:
- education and training
- English and maths
- community learning
Additional statistics cover:
- traineeships (aged 16 to 24)
- apprenticeships (aged 16 and over) including official statistics covering the apprenticeship service and the public sector apprenticeship return
Further breakdowns of these data will be available in the FE data library.
