The figures presented in this ad hoc statistical release are from the Department for Work and Pensions administrative records.

Whenever UC is paid, the department records the bank account that the UC is paid to, and this includes the name or names in which that account is held. This will show whether the account has 2 names attached, or whether it is in one person’s name only.

The data is for August 2018.
