These are the official statistics relating to the Income Support lone parent (ISLP) regime. They contain figures on lone parent work-focused interviews (WFIs) and ISLP sanctions up to September 2014.

Main findings

In the year up to and including September 2014, there were 595,900 WFIs conducted with lone parents claiming Income Support.

In the year up to and including September 2014, there were 42,500 sanctions imposed on lone parents claiming Income Support. These sanctions were imposed on 39,100 individual claims. This represents 5.7% of all ISLP claims that were live at some point during the 12 month period.
