In 2014:
- the average minimum journey time to a range of 8 key local services was 17 minutes using public transport or walking, 14 minutes by bicycle and 10 minutes by car
- the average minimum journey times by public transport or walking to the 8 key services were 15 minutes for urban areas and 27 minutes for rural areas
- around 71% of the working age population lived within 15 minutes by public transport of an area with 500 or more jobs, and about 97% within 30 minutes
These statistics replace the former accessibility statistics series, using revised methods to produce a similar range of results.
