This release was updated in March 2019 to reflect amended machinery definitions. There are no changes to the previously published figures.

This release provides estimates of machinery investment made by farmers in England between 2009/10 and 2017/18. The results are sourced from the Farm Business Survey and cover a broad range of expenditure from office and irrigation equipment to tractors and combine harvesters.
