Details

The Annual Minerals Raised Inquiry (AMRI) survey is an annual survey which collects, collates and publishes a comprehensive set of statistics for the production of minerals, by mineral type such as limestone, chalk, industrial sand, sand and gravel, sandstone, igneous rock, dolomite, peat, crushed rock, clay and shale, fireclay and ore minerals.

The survey also reports on the numbers of people employed at mineral working sites. All the statistical data contained in this report is presented in table form and all data is also presented at the level of the individual county and then aggregated at the level of the country England, Scotland and Wales and at the level of Great Britain. The survey covers all mineral working sites across the whole of Great Britain.
