Details
The National Rail Travel Survey (NRTS) is a survey of passenger trips on the national rail system in Great Britain on weekdays outside school holidays. It was initiated by the former Strategic Rail Authority and carried out by the Department for Transport to provide information about who uses the rail network, where, when and for what purposes.
It combines data collected in London and the South East in 2001 through the London Area Travel Survey (LATS) with further survey data collected in 2004 and 2005 covering Wales, Scotland and the rest of England (outside London and the South East).
