Revision note

Four small errors have been identified in this data and the Pensioners’ Incomes Series publication for 2012/13. Read the revision note.

This publication includes estimates and commentary on:

  • trends in pensioners’ incomes (split by different pensioner groups)
  • sources of pensioners’ incomes
  • distribution of pensioners’ incomes

Data is based on estimates from the Family Resources Survey for financial year 2013/14, in which approximately 20,000 households were interviewed.

We’ve also published data tables in spreadsheet format, methodology guidance and an infographic showing the main findings.
