This statistical first release updates national and local authority data published in SFR 05/2010. It includes progression data for pupils completing key stage 4 in 2010 and is based on a slightly revised methodology. Data previously published for academic years 2007 to 2008 and 2008 to 2009 will be updated based on the new methodology and published in this SFR.

A revision has been made to tables 3, 4 and 5 in the excel spreadsheet and in the pdf format on 20 June 2011 to correct errors that were present in the figures for the London regional sub-totals for columns relating to 2008. The grand totals across all regions were erroneously duplicated in these cells.
