Details

In the year ending September 2014:

  • 78.3% of journeys on the Highways Agency’s network were ‘on time’, similar to the year ending June 2014
  • reliability fell for 12 consecutive months from a March 2012 peak of 81.5%
  • reliability has been broadly stable since March 2013

The recent stabilisation of reliability levels is believed to mostly relate to a combination of improved weather conditions, particularly less rain, and increases in traffic on motorways and rural ‘A’ roads, relative to the previous year.
