These statistics relate to the employment of working-age disabled people in the UK.

This release contains annual data to March 2021 and quarterly data to June 2021. It therefore covers the first 12 to 15 months of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Users should be aware of the potential effect of the pandemic and should interpret results, particularly across different time periods, with care.

  1. Published a revised version of Figure 19 and explanatory text in the HTML document. Table 19 of the underlying data tables has also been revised. The revision means that only employees are now being included in the table – as opposed to all people in employment. This has changed the percentage of employees who are employed by small employers to 43.5%, not 39.6% as originally stated. No other changes have been made.
