Travel time measures for the Strategic Road Network and local ‘A’ roads: October 2023 to September 2024

On the Strategic Road Network (SRN) for the year ending September 2024, the average delay is estimated to be 11.4 seconds per vehicle per mile (spvpm), compared to free flow, an 10.7% increase on year ending September 2023.

The average speed is estimated to be 56.2 mph for the year ending September 2024, down 1.7% from September 2023.

On local ‘A’ roads for the year ending September 2024, the average delay is estimated to be 45.6 seconds per vehicle per mile (spvpm) compared to free flow. This is down 1.9% on year ending September 2023.

The average speed is estimated to be 23.6 mph for the year ending September 2024, up 0.9% on year ending September 2023.
