The publication and data tables for 2016 use newly available data to provide an update of the 2015 analysis.
The publication provides estimates of the overall impact of automatic enrolment in workplace pensions on pension saving. It also provides estimates of the number of workers affected by automatic enrolment and more detailed analysis of the characteristics of this population.
In general the analysis focuses on people who are eligible for automatic enrolment, those at least 22 years old who are under State Pension age and earning over £10,000.
The analysis is based on data from the Office for National Statistics Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings, the Labour Force Survey and DWP modelling.
