Check if a trade remedy is right for you
You can only ask for a trade remedy if you believe imported goods:
- are being dumped on the UK market at prices below their normal value or benefiting from subsidies
- there is a sharp, sudden increase in imports to the UK of a certain product
You cannot use this service to report:
- issues relating to an individual transaction
- a dispute with a company about a contract
- anything which does not relate to dumping, subsidies or surges of imports which may be subject to a safeguard measure
Getting help deciding whether to apply
Our pre-application office (PAO) can:
- help you decide whether a trade remedy is appropriate for you
- advise you on the requirements involved in an application
- answer your questions on other aspects of the service
If you would like to make an application, email the PAO at [email protected]
Getting help with your application
You do not have to talk to the PAO before making your application, but if you do you can discuss your draft application without the time pressures involved in the formal application process.
If you would like to discuss making an application, email the PAO at [email protected].
How the pre-application office (PAO) works
The PAO provides informal guidance and support to potential applicants on how to complete an application for a trade remedies investigation.
The PAO is independent of the TRID investigation teams and does not:
- complete the application form on your behalf
- get involved with cases once an application has been formally submitted
- guarantee that an investigation will be started because you have engaged with the PAO
