If you are an exporter in England, Scotland or Wales, there’s a different service to apply for an export health certificate.
Before you start
You’ll need a Government Gateway account and a Defra account. If you do not have them, you’ll be guided to set them up when you use the service for the first time.
When you set up your Defra account, select ‘sole trader’. Select this option even if it does not describe your organisation.
You can read the guidance on how to register for EHC online and certify export health certificates.
