Check if an email about taking part in GOV.UK research is genuine

Find out what a genuine email about taking part in GOV.UK research looks like, to help you decide if the email you've received is a scam.

If you’ve signed up to help make GOV.UK better, GOV.UK will send you an invite by email to take part in research studies.

The subject line of the email will be ‘Invitation to take part in research for GOV.UK’.

The email will have:

  • a link to check if you’re eligible to take part - the link will start with ‘https://survey.take-part-in-research.service.gov.uk/’ and will go to a page that says ‘Powered by Qualtrics’ at the bottom
  • a reference to this guidance so you can check that the email is genuine
  • an email address to contact the GOV.UK research team if you have any concerns
