Use this service to find out the rules, and the pest or disease risks for importing plants, plant products or seeds to Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) for commercial use.
Use this service to find out:
- the latest rules for importing particular plants, plant products or seeds for commercial use
- if a plant could carry pests and diseases that need reporting
- current information on non-native plants pests and diseases that are a risk to Great Britain

Before you start
You’ll need the name of the plant, plant product, seed, pest or disease to find plant health information.
You can use:
- the scientific name or any synonyms
- a common name in some cases
This service:
- does not cover the import of plants, plant products or seeds for your own use
- does not have information about which plants, plant products or seeds can be marketed in Great Britain
- does not provide trade information about exporting plants, plant products or seeds
- is not a pest or disease identification service
- does not have information about pests and diseases native to Great Britain
