EU Settlement Scheme: administrative review

You can no longer apply for an administrative review of your EU Settlement Scheme decision.

You can no longer apply for an administrative review of the decision on your application for the EU Settlement Scheme.

Any application for administrative review submitted on or after 4 April 2024 will not be considered.

If you’re still waiting for a decision

We will continue to consider valid applications for an administrative review made before 4 April 2024.

We have experienced unprecedented levels of applications which are causing a delay to our service. It can take 24 months or more to receive a result.

If we have not made a decision within 6 months, we’ll contact you to update you on the situation.

Any delay will not affect:

  • the way your application is assessed
  • the outcome of your application

If you apply for something else while waiting

We will withdraw your application for an administrative review if you make a valid application to any of these:

  • EU Settlement Scheme
  • EU Settlement Scheme Family Permit
  • S2 Healthcare Visitor visa
  • Service Providers from Switzerland visa

You will not get a refund of your administrative review application fee.

Withdraw your application

Email [email protected] to withdraw your application for an administrative review.

You must include:

Appeal against your EU Settlement Scheme decision

You can still appeal against your EU Settlement Scheme decision if you withdraw your application for an administrative review.

You have a time limit to do this, starting from the date you tell us you’re withdrawing your application.

The time limit is:

  • 14 days, if you’re in the UK
