Overview
The project is looking to fund work in Women, Peace and Security (WPS) focus countries outlined in the UK’s Fifth National Action Plan (NAP).
The total funding available is up to a maximum of £850,000. A maximum of £500,000 is available in FY 2023 to 2024 (1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024), and a maximum of £350,000 is available in FY 2024 to 2025 (1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025).
The deadline for submission of bids is 11:59pm British Summer Time (BST) on Friday 20 October 2023.
What the fund will achieve
Projects should further the UK’s contribution to Strategic objective 1 of the women, peace and security national action plan: ‘Decision Making - increasing women’s meaningful participation, leadership and representation in decision-making processes’.
Projects should also meet at least one of the following 2 objectives:
- supporting and championing women’s rights organisations, women peacebuilders and human rights defenders (at any level)
- supporting opportunities for women’s meaningful participation in dialogues and discussion on defence, security and peace processes
